Rescuing Hope, One Paw at a Time

In 2011, my journey with Sharany began, inspired by a beloved Labrador named Rozy. She was more than a pet—she was family. When Rozy fell ill, the limited veterinary care available at the time couldn’t diagnose her condition in time. This heartbreaking experience ignited a mission in me: I wanted to make a difference in the lives of animals, especially those with no one else to care for them.

Starting with simple on-the-spot treatments, I dedicated Sundays to aiding strays with skin infections, giving them much-needed baths and providing oral medications. Gradually, my efforts expanded. With the support of local shelters, we started transferring injured and sick dogs, cats, calves, and even donkeys to secure places where they could recover.

With time, the work grew, and Sharany took its next steps forward: we acquired an ambulance to safely transport animals and built our first in-house facility in Kundhela. Each step has brought us closer to the vision of compassionate, accessible care for stray and neglected animals.

Through Sharany, I hope to extend that same care that Rozy inspired, reaching more animals and creating a network of support, healing, and respect for all creatures. Thank you for being part of this journey with us. Together, we can make a meaningful impact.
